The Power is Within

by Monique Wooley

There’s is truth in the phrase, “The Power that made the body, can heal the body.” Our bodies are intelligent systems designed not only to function, but to recover, adapt, and thrive.

Our bodies are made to fight off infections even without our conscious involvement. Bones mend to repair itself. And the most profound, is that the mind plays a powerful role in that healing process.

Modern science is now  increasingly validating what ancient traditions and intuitive wisdom have long believed: which is the connection between mind and body is real, and it matters.

Your Thoughts Matters

What you think and feel within your mind, your beliefs, your emotional state, can profoundly influence your physical health.

This is why it’s extremely important to constantly focus your thoughts on positive, healthy outcomes rather than negative outcome.

Research for instance, shows that thoughts can affect the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems. Stressful thinking can suppress immunity, while positive mental states can support recovery.

Your Faith

People who always have hope, which I’d like to call FAITH, optimism, and a strong belief in their ability to heal often experience better outcomes, even when facing serious illnesses.

By no means am I insinuating, you can “think your way out” of serious diagnosis, but this is about recognizing that the mind and body are not separate. They’re partners, a team.

Mindset

Your mindset can shape how your body responds to health challenges, it can influences how you recover, and even determines how you experience symptoms.

So, take care of your thoughts as much as your physical body. Practice mindfulness. Cultivate positive environments. I’ve suggested in previous articles, how important it is to surround yourself with the support of positive, like minded individuals.

Suggestions

Practice yoga, meditation, go for scenic walks and quiet the space around you for just a hour each day to focus your thoughts on the positives.

Breath deeply.

And remember: the same power that created your body also gave you the ability to heal the body from the inside out.
