Easter is all about the blood. The blood of Jesus Christ that purchased us back from sin. You were bought with a precious price. God sent His son to His creation to be the sacrifice for OUR sin. All sin from the beginning of time to the end of time. One and done.
It started in Genesis with Adam and Eve giving their dominion and reign to satan. Ever since, we needed to bring sacrifices to the altar to pay for our sin. Hebrew 9:22 states, “And by the law, almost all things are purged with blood, and without the shedding of blood, there is no remission.”
This continued through thousands of years until the death of Jesus provided us the new covenant of Grace and Jesus’ fulfillment of the law in the old testament. The blood was also what saved the Israelites from the angel of death in Egypt the night before they left. They put blood over their door and on their doorposts so death would “passover” them.
Today we have the blood of Jesus over us! It washes our sins away as far as the east is from the west and is remembered no more. One of the greatest gifts of Jesus’ resurrection is saving us from the eternal damnation of spending eternity in hell.
Bill Weise explains it this way. If you think you are a good person without Jesus and you think you will go to heaven because, by your standards, you deserve heaven. Well, that sounds absolutely crazy. That would be like you driving down the road and you see a beautiful, big, mansion and you pull in and ring the doorbell. The owner answers and says, “Can I help you?” You then proceed to say, “Yes, I want to live here. I am a good person and lived a relatively good life. I deserve to be here!” The owner would explain, “I am the owner and I don’t know you. I don’t have a relationship with you and you must leave. You are not allowed to come in.”
That short story really explains the choice you have while you are still breathing. If you don’t want to go to hell, you need to have a relationship with the owner of heaven – God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Nobody can come to the Father but through Jesus. Hell is for those who reject Jesus. There is no light in hell because Jesus is the light of the world. There is no strength to even move your being as God tells us He is our strength. Nobody will know you there as only Jesus rewards us with crowns, mansions, feasts and more. God pours out His wrath on hell which is fire poured out from heaven. There is death to the maggots that will feed sweetly on those in hell. They will be forever feasting on your body. The torture from demons that hate you because you were made in God’s image will forever torture you with no end. You will have memories in hell and remember how you were given a choice to accept Jesus and you didn’t. You will wonder for all eternity if any of your loved ones escaped hell by accepting Jesus. You will never have a moment of peace as you will hear constant weeping and gnashing of teeth. There will be prisons and pits of fire that will be your home. The terror of hell will drive you mad.
I could go on but I recommend watching the Youtube of “23 minutes in hell – Bill Wiese” to gain further education and understanding. Jesus spent His life ministering, healing and teaching us and to give the opportunity to accept Him and escape the second death which is hell. He spent more time teaching about hell just to make sure we knew we didn’t want to go there. The only WAY is Jesus. He is the only one who can forgive you and be your representative in the courts of heaven. He is the only one who is TRUTH. He knows everything about you and everyone else and can lead you into paths of righteousness. He is the LIFE as stated in John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy. I came that you may have life and have it abundantly”.
He is the only one who takes us from glory to glory when our time on earth is done. He makes us children of God, a royal priesthood, prophet, and joint heirs with Him. Romans 8:17 tells you that you will be an heir to the Kingdom with Jesus. He gives you all power and authority by telling you in Matthew 16:18, “I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Please seek God. You will find Him. Let all the angels rejoice in heaven with your “yes”. Easter is for you and me. It is for sinners to be saved by His grace. Don’t miss it. Jesus died for it.
Love,
