Bear Witness

Have you ever wondered why we teach our kids to ride bikes?

It teaches developmental and navigation skills. It gives a sense of independence and freedom. It could also represent strength, endurance, a need for balance, and a journey towards achieving goals.

Life is much of the same.

Fact is, it is so vividly apparent there has been a shift in societal values like integrity, morals, dignity, and even respect has unfortunately become minimalist in today’s existence. Perhaps people have chosen to put their emphasis more on personal gains rather than on their faith or spiritual beliefs.

When it becomes popular or normal to build a career and monetize off protecting people from the shameless greed of individuals, businesses, insurance companies, and even our unraveling government system, it’s no surprise that Big Pharma and Alcohol Sales are top contenders in investments these days.

Like most of us, I went through a difficult time dealing with life’s struggles. It was my faith that carried me through. My strength came when that calm soft, still, voice assured me “not to worry, but to just keep moving forward.”

I share this story realizing that because of my purpose, my work, my consciousness, and my testimony, it has allowed me to bear witness to the stories of pain, anxiety, fear, frustration, and uncertainties surrounding many in our community.

Encouragement

Know that suffering doesn’t last forever. However, it is a necessary process that we go through as a result of our actions, free will. GOD will never break his greatest creation down. He will, however, allow us to misuse our autonomy through our disobedience which is how we break ourselves down. Suffering may be a way of awakening to bring us back into consciousness or awareness as a result of our actions. The key is his forgiveness.

So as you’re going through difficulties, give yourself grace. Keep moving forward. Take the focus off your pain by finding ways to become a beacon for others. Smile, stand tall, be positive, and speak words of encouragement over your situation. Give of yourself more than you take and expect nothing in return. Why? Because there are conscious, loving, honest, and caring human beings such as yourself still out there amongst the chaos, filled with gratitude and compassion waiting to connect.

Lastly, Without allowing others to impress their beliefs upon what you do in your journey, share your truth, and your story because you may never know who will bear witness for the sake of igniting awakening in someone else.

Albert Einstein’s advice in a letter to his son was “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.”

Those who are fortunate enough to find their purpose, balance, and consciousness will rise from the pain to a new.
