Elected leaders make the decisions that affect the economy, education, environment, housing, healthcare, transportation, water quality, and more. Every eligible voter shouldexercise their right to vote and make their voice heard at the ballot box.
All eligible voters, including those without a party affiliation, may vote in the Primary Election.
All primary ballots will include nonpartisan races. Ballots for voters with a party affiliation will include their party’s candidates.
In the August 18th Primary Election, voters will elect the Lee County Commissioner for District 5, and School Board Members for District 1 and 6, 20th Circuit Judges and a Lee County Judge.
In addition, Bonita Springs and Cape Coral voters will vote on city issues. Bonita Springs voters will decide on a Bond Referendum for the Bonita Estero Rail Trail (BERT). Cape Coral voters will determine candidates for the general election and decide three Cape Coral City Charter amendments.
